Marek Okrassa is a Polish artist based in Sopot, Poland. Graduate of The Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. Painter, draftsman and press illustrator, collaborating with cultural and commercial institutions, such as The State Gallery of Art in Sopot, Lviv National Art Gallery, Galerie Mont des Arts in Brussels, Crowd Magazine New York, Newsweek Polska and many more.
‘My paintings are like the note from how we’re experiencing our reality, or more likely, how we insistently trying to. There’s no room for judgement or moralization here. I just watch and now you can watch it with me. After all, we’re all immersed in the mass culture, whether we like it or not. But those soaked clothes makes me feel, somehow, homely. ‘
